Data Security and Destruction

Boral Australia

At WV Technologies, we fully understand the impacts of data security risks. We work closely with our clients to help them overcome the difficulties and complexities associated with IT disposals.

In this case study, we discuss how we worked with Boral Australia delivering an IT refresh which included data security, IT asset disposal and e-waste recycling. More importantly, we highlight how this partnership had significant social and environmental outcomes.

Triple A results in data security and creating jobs

In 2021 the Directors of WV Technologies held a press conference alongside Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham MP (former Minister for Finance in the Australian Government) and Ms Libby Wilson (Director, IBM Global Financing) to make the exciting announcement that WV Technologies was the first company in Australia to obtain NAID AAA certification, the highest security clearance for all data destruction and sanitisation services.

Senator Birmingham's speech highlighted the importance of IT Lifecycle services, particularly the critical nature of data sanitisation and data destruction of the end of life of IT assets.  The speech, which you can watch in the following video, also spoke of the importance of WV Technologies' partnership with Worldview Foundation in joining forces to provide job opportunities for Indigenous people and support to overcome barriers to success and gain sustainable employment.

We thank our government and corporate partners and clients for their commitment to the ongoing success of WV Technologies and Worldview Foundation. To watch the full speech, please visit https://wvtech.com.au/minister-for-finance-simon-birminghams-full-speech
