‘Indigenous Sourcing
Project of the Year’
A joint partnership between Telstra and WV Technologies was recognised as the Indigenous Sourcing Project of the Year at The Faculty Awards of Excellence and CPO Forum Gala Dinner in Melbourne. The first-of-its-kind award celebrates how large organisations and Indigenous-owned suppliers can build meaningful, long-term partnerships that embed capability into core operations. WVTech worked with Telstra to deliver secure IT asset lifecycle services at scale, for measurable business value and community impact.
Tonnes of e-waste recycled and/or re-used
Pallets of equipment replaced with new, energy-efficient assets
Indigenous youth accessing career coaching and mentoring
Equivalent of removing 1724 cars from the road per year
Winning projects don’t treat Indigenous sourcing as a compliance task. Telstra’s approach integrated clear, ambitious targets across its business units, ensuring Indigenous suppliers weren’t an afterthought but part of core operations.
At WVTech, we support organisations to do the same—meeting Federal IPP, state targets like QIPP, and RAP commitments with practical, secure IT asset lifecycle services that are easy to operationalise and scale.
“This award proves what true partnership can achieve—building capability, delivering ESG outcomes, and creating meaningful, lasting change.”
