Partnering with the Queensland Department of Education, WV Tech delivers secure IT disposal and real social impact—creating Indigenous employment opportunities, supporting circular economy goals, and helping the Department meet sustainability and procurement commitments while protecting sensitive data across thousands of devices.
Partnering for Secure, Responsible IT Disposal
We worked with Queensland’s Department of Education to deliver secure, compliant collection and data destruction for its Computers for Teachers program. With tens of thousands of devices cycling out each year, our role ensures sensitive data is destroyed to NAID AAA standards while maximising reuse and recycling.
Supporting Indigenous Employment and Training
Our Indigenous-owned and Supply Nation–certified business doesn’t just dispose of hardware. Every job provides real employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team members. Through on-the-job training, mentoring, and partnerships with organisations like Worldview Foundation, we help create meaningful pathways into long-term work.
Delivering Circular Economy Outcomes
We prioritise reusing and refurbishing equipment where possible, and recycling responsibly when we can’t. By keeping devices in circulation and materials out of landfill, we help the Department meet sustainability targets while supporting Queensland’s goals environmentally and economically.
